Nursing and Horses and No Fear; Sarah's Senior Session
Sarah is a graduating Senior at Fern Ridge which is part of the Parkway School District. Sarah has plans to go off to college and pursue her Nursing degree! I’m instantly impressed because my mind just doesn’t work in that manner and I love that she’s not shying away from the challenge of nursing school.
Sarah tells me that one of her major hobbies over the past 5+ years has been horse back riding. She’s taken lessons and tells me that she is usually on a different horse when she rides, which to me seems like a talent in itself. Horses are such big and majestic creatures and Sarah is the adorable little petite thing, so I love that she can so confidently ride different horses each time she goes.
After talking to Sarah throughout her Senior session, I’m convinced she’s far more adventurous than me. She’s going after her nursing degree, she rides horses, she dyed her hair pink and wasn’t afraid of the results, and she’s headed off to college where she knows no one. Nothing like making your own path as you come into adulthood!
Sarah hasn’t fully committed to a college yet, but will be making a decision closer to the school year. The awesome thing is she has options and she’s not afraid to use them. Congrats on graduating, Sarah, and best of luck to you as you pursue your nursing degree!
