Jenna and Matt 5 Years Later!

Jenna and Matt just hit their first big wedding anniversary — 5 years! I remember their wedding day like it was yesterday including the part where I got my husband lost on the way to the reception. Oops. In my defense, it was over a half hour from our house and ~~I took us to the wrong address~~ the directions I had pulled up were confusing. But I digress, let’s shift the focus back to this awesome couple. The day they got married, it was a typical cold March day. And wouldn’t you know it, the day we did their anniversary photos, it was GORGEOUS outside and made for a perfect evening.

I actually met Jenna through my husband, Tony. They happen to be co-workers! Over the years, Jenna and I have grown to be friends through our mutual love of photography. See, Jenna is also an awesome photographer (by the way, biggest compliment ever to be asked to do another photographer's photos!) and we’ve actually collaborated before (and will again in the future) not to mention she’s done photos for my family. Oh you haven’t seen those posted on Facebook yet? That’s because I’m a terrible slacker with my own personal Facebook page and always end up posting about 2 years worth of photos at a time. Don’t worry, I catch all sorts of flack for it from my husband, thank you very much.

I don’t get to see Matt as often as I do Jenna, but he’s a pretty awesome guy. Let’s just say Tony and Jenna’s company parties never lack in the fun and entertainment department for “plus ones” like Matt and I. And like a lot of photographer’s significant others, Matt’s not always up for photo sessions of himself, but Jenna convinced him and I think he did an outstanding job.

Jenna and Matt are a good time — they’re fun loving, sarcastic, and witty — which are pretty much all right up my alley. Not to mention, Jenna provided some pretty funny photography tips for Matt throughout our session.

Thanks for allowing me to capture anniversary #5! Here’s to many more to come!
