A lot of Rain, a Little Luck, and a Beautiful Wedding
It rained on Theresa and Andy’s wedding day. Wait. Did I say it rained? What I *meant* to say was…there was a torrential downpour that day. I’m talking cars were slowed down to 20 mph on the highway because they couldn’t see to drive. We planned to do some outdoor pictures prior to the ceremony and those plans were looking bleak with the monsoon that happened. We opted for Forest Park and let me just say for a rainy day, it did not disappoint.
By the time we arrived at Forest Park, it was raining just slightly and aside from the ground being wet, you’d never know. Not to mention, a little rain did not get Theresa or Andy's spirits down. In fact, I remember thinking how Theresa’s smile rarely leaves her face and her smile is definitely contagious.
Theresa and Andy opted to see each other before the wedding and went with a “First Look” opportunity instead since their wedding was scheduled for early evening. It was so sweet watching them in this moment :)
As I went to look at some of the photos from their wedding day, I let out an audible sigh when I saw Theresa’s dress again. I mean, come on guys. Would you look at the back of that dress?! Stunning.
So regal. So beautiful.
And the grey suit on Andy? Yes. So classy.
I wanted to get a picture of Andy with his brothers and this is what came of that. I recognized it all too fast — the pointing, the laughing, the instantaneous mocking, but of course all in good fun. Yep, that’s EXACTLY what it was like for me growing up with four brothers. Never a dull moment!
Sometimes a flower girl steals the show at a wedding and in this case, it was Theresa’s daughter, Olivia. Would you just stop everything you’re doing this very moment and look at this delicate Mommy-Daughter kiss?! Oh my goodness.
Let me just say, if it's your wedding day, you deserve a dance...or two with the most important people in your lives. Your daughter and your husband.
And would you look at Theresa’s sister who is just an absolutely glowing mama-to-be. She rocked that dress!
The rain stopped for a bit and we were able to head out into the open skies and what better thing to do than work with the cards you’ve been dealt? The giant puddles, the dramatic sky, the umbrella, and the fact that hardly anyone else was around to brave the weather that day — I say that’s one lucky couple!
Many congratulations to you two love birds, Theresa and Andy. You guys are truly lucky in every sense of the word!
